While boxing had a strong start to 2020, headlined by Tyson Fury’s destruction of Deontay Wilder in February, the coronavirus pandemic ravaged the sport’s schedule and halted all momentum gained from the massive heavyweight showdown. Now, Top Rank has led the way on bringing boxing back with multiple events held weekly from Las Vegas.

Many big fights are still planned, but without set dates or venues as the world continues to deal with the pandemic. Many big fights are not possible without live gates to support the purses involved. So while fights such as Anthony Joshua vs. Kubrat Pulev, Dillian Whyte vs. Alexander Povetkin, Oleksandr Usyk vs. Derek Chisora, Naoya Inoue vs. John Riel Casimero and the third fight between Fury and Wilder are all still planned, there’s no clear idea of when or where.

On boxing’s current schedule, there’s only one scheduled championship fight with Jamel Herring scheduled to defend his WBO junior welterweight championship against Jonathan Oquendo on July 2 in Las Vegas. Every fight on the upcoming schedule except for showcase fights for Emanuel Navarrete and Miguel Berchelt — which both take place in Mexico City — is set to go down from Las Vegas.

Below is a running list of boxing main events for the 2020 year.
